Part#2 Vowels

In arabic the major vowels are:
> Damma
> Fatah
> Qasra



They have their own impact on the words.


They can be used as single or double (known as Tanween)



Most of the time:
* Nouns with "Tanween" are said to be Indefinite.
* Nouns with single vowel sign are said to be Definite.

** Proper Nouns are always definite no matter with single vowel sign or tanween.

Note: When there is no vowel sign on any letter, there is SUKOON on it.

Part#1: Alphabets

Usually arabic alphabets are considered to be 28 because alphabet 'ALIF' (which has no sound) is not included to it.
You must be thinking whats then a symbol looks similar to "Alif" and sounds 'Aa', what is that ??

Thats known as 'Hamza'.

There are three Shapes/Chairs for hamza;
1. In the Shape of Alif (with neck of Ain)
2. In the Shape of Wao (with neck of Ain)
3. In the Shape of Ya (with neck of Ain)

Hamza also comes in its own shape, that is only 'NECK OF AIN'.

So if you include the alphabet "Alif" (have no sound), they are said to be 29 ALPHABETS.

Note:
Both the Alif; in its actual context or in the context of hamza are commonly used in the arabic language. You will find them yourself while reading Quran and soon in the next parts INSHAHALLAH.
